I got to meet him and Dave Wakeling in 1995, they did a FREE show in Cleveland! It was at Shooters in the Flats. It was so great! I was really nervous to meet them but they were both so gracious and nice. Got a photo with them both. Then years later, around 2004ish? I had a dreadlocks website (the original Dread Mama) and emailed Ranking Roger to ask if I could use the photo I took with him. He said of course! Still very nice, and encouraging of my site.

When I heard about his death it hit me like a gut punch. Too soon, too soon. May Ranking Roger Rest In Peace.
