Logan’s Run is a movie that came out when I was a wee girl, probably preschool or kindergarten, and I must have seen it dozens of times since. Tell me why I just now noticed homegirl was running around in SOCKS the whole movie?! Even when they’re in the delinquents area and had to walk/run amongst broken glass and metal. Logan and the other men wore shoes, he didn’t have to go barefoot until after they’d escaped and he lost his shoes.

Much of sci-fi is limited in many ways but most notably in its inability to imagine a future where women have true equality, including can dress comfortably, completely, from head to toe. This is almost as enraging as watching Star Trek and the female astronauts are tricked out in thigh-high, high-heeled boots.
