This shows just how much my husband occupies space in my mind lol: I was deeply interested in this story at the time I first heard of the development of this computer (late ‘95) but then Brian and I fell in love (early ‘96) and I completely forgot about it. I was working on a sci-fI story earlier today that tangentially involves computers and just like that, 25 years later I wondered, Whatever happened with that super chess computer and the world champion from Russia? Googled and this popped up. Fascinating story. Video is long but worth it, also excellent to just listen to on bus/train commute or long drive. I listened to it while working in the garden the other day.
